There is no charge to enter the Sunday Mail Young Scot Awards 2023

You may enter as many categories as you wish, but you must complete a separate submission for each category.

Once you have submitted your entry you will receive an email confirming that we have received your nomination.

Entries can only be accepted for individuals, groups or teams aged 11-26 who are from or located within Scotland.

Information provided in the entry form will be viewed by the judging panel. Shortlisted finalists will have a short biography about them added to the awards website which will be based on the content of their submitted entry form. Therefore, if your entry contains confidential information that you do want to be shared please email the event manager with the details immediately.

Entries will close at 11:59pm on 10th April 2023. If entries are submitted after this deadline they may not be included in the entries or put forward to the judges.

We may need to contact you or the organisation to seek further information in order to progress with your entry. Please provide accurate email addresses and mobile telephone numbers for this purpose and respond as quickly as you can if contacted.

The judging will take place week commencing 17th April 2023. We will make contact with those who have been shortlisted as finalists within 1 week of the judging taking place. The shortlist will be published in the Sunday Mail.

An independent judging panel will meet to choose the winners. Each nomination is assessed by the panel against set criteria.

Winners will be announced at the awards ceremony taking place on Thursday 8th June 2023 at Platform, Glasgow.

Confirmed timings will be sent out prior to the event date.

The dress code is dress to impress.

Please email the event manager who will send you details of any negotiated rates with local hotels if available.

We always try to accommodate special dietary requirements and request this information in advance of the awards event. You can do this via the website when booking your tickets. Once logged into your account, you will see dietary requirements in the booking section under each guest’s personal details. If you need advice or help with this, or would like to discuss any specific details please contact the event manager. Please note that all special dietary requirements must be arranged in advance.

Platform is fully accessible for the awards ceremony and celebrations. Please tell the event manager your access needs and we will make the necessary arrangements.

Parking is not available at the venue.  Chargeable on street parking available or alternatively chargeable car parks close-by. 

The event is theatre style seating followed by casual dining. If you are a VIP, a member of our events team will guide you to your seat.
